WORK-BASED LEARNING
STUDY PROGRAMMES
Business Management
The Business Management programme provides students with a broad business education, with a particular emphasis on sales and commercial operations, giving graduates a competitive advantage in the labour market and excellent career prospects. The programme is designed for those who aspire to establish their own business, build a successful career in commercial management, or further develop their knowledge of business and economics.
The programme also encourages students to develop their personal potential, creative and innovative thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams. Close collaboration between students and lecturers is an important factor in ensuring a successful learning experience.
Our lecturers are experienced professionals from a wide range of industries who combine academic expertise with extensive practical experience. They employ teaching methods that inspire students to develop entrepreneurial thinking, initiative, and social responsibility while equipping them with a broad range of practical knowledge and skills.
The programme is designed with flexibility in mind, enabling students to balance their studies with other commitments. In addition to their academic coursework, students benefit from a variety of extracurricular opportunities, including academic advising and tutoring, an Alumni Club, sports events, technical study visits, guest lectures, a graduate employment service, international exchange opportunities, and practical training with numerous partner companies and institutions.
Mechatronics
Mechatronics represents a modern approach to the design of products and systems by integrating precision mechanics, electronics, automatic control, and information technology into a single engineering discipline, rather than addressing each engineering challenge separately. A Mechatronics Technician is therefore not a narrowly specialised engineer, but a multidisciplinary professional with expertise across several technical fields.
Today’s labour market increasingly demands professionals who can combine knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, information technology, business and management, environmental engineering, and innovation. Modern manufacturing increasingly relies on electronically controlled machinery and automated production systems, making mechatronics one of the fastest-growing engineering disciplines.
Graduates acquire the practical competencies needed to apply core engineering principles to complex technological and development challenges. They learn to design, manage, and optimise product development and manufacturing processes, work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and solve engineering problems efficiently within defined project deadlines.
Rural and Landscape Management
The Rural and Landscape Management programme is designed to educate professionals with a broad combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in food production and rural management.
Modern agriculture increasingly emphasises environmental stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable farming practices. In response to these developments, the programme combines academic study with extensive practical training provided by employers.
In addition to core agricultural knowledge, students gain expertise in environmental management, diversification of farm activities, entrepreneurship and marketing, rural tourism, and social services in rural communities. This multidisciplinary approach enhances graduates’ employability while making the programme highly relevant to the evolving needs of the rural economy.
