STUDY PROGRAMMES
Mechatronics
Our Higher Vocational Study Programme in Mechatronics leads to the exciting and highly sought-after profession of Mechatronics Technician. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field that combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science.
In today’s manufacturing environment, expertise in just one technical discipline is often no longer sufficient. Modern products are increasingly designed and manufactured using machinery controlled by electronic systems and partially or fully automated or computer-controlled production processes. Designing, operating, and maintaining such systems is far more effective when carried out by professionals with expertise across all three disciplines.
Mechatronics Technicians bridge the gap between specialist fields, facilitating communication and collaboration between engineers from different disciplines. Their broad technical knowledge makes them highly valuable to employers and enables them to develop innovative products and engineering solutions.
Graduates acquire knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, information technology, economics, foreign languages, and other complementary disciplines, preparing them for a wide range of technical and engineering careers.
The Higher Vocational Study Programme in Mechatronics comprises 120 ECTS credits, is delivered in both full-time and part-time modes, and has a duration of two years.
Graduates are awarded the professional title of Mechatronics Technician.
Each academic year consists of 34 weeks, including 24 weeks of lectures and practical classes at the College and 10 weeks of organised Practical Training with employers.
Materials Design
The demand for well-designed products continues to grow. To succeed in today’s competitive market, products must not only function effectively but also be aesthetically appealing, as good design adds value and strengthens market competitiveness.
Leading companies increasingly integrate designers into the product development process from the very beginning. However, designers often create concepts that are difficult or expensive to manufacture because they lack sufficient knowledge of production technologies. A significant advantage is therefore gained by designers who understand both product design and manufacturing processes, and who are capable of producing their own prototypes.
The Materials Design programme combines a strong foundation in design with practical knowledge of manufacturing technologies, giving students greater creative freedom and independence in developing new products. Throughout the programme, students work on real-world projects in collaboration with industry, while enjoying considerable freedom to explore and develop their own creative ideas.
The Higher Vocational Study Programme in Materials Design comprises 120 ECTS credits and is offered full-time only. The programme lasts two years, and graduates are awarded the professional title of Materials Design Technician.
Each academic year consists of 34 weeks, including 24 weeks of lectures and practical classes at the College and 10 weeks of organised Practical Training with employers.
